SALON DES AMATEURS, MARTA, HERFORD, 2009

‘Salon des Amateurs’ was the meeting place for the ‘Amateur’ to consider what could be an ‘Amateur Society’. A giant wall diagram presented the possibilties of the amateur, whilst a volcanic pool with water at 33 degrees celsius as a metaphor for primordial birth offered a place for vistors to sit, float and think and discuss. A changeable transformable material for changeable transformable desires, the polycapralactone wax for the pool was made from remelting the furniture from the first supper.
